In 2017-2018, I was a Fulbright Scholar to Iceland. My project was titled "Freshwater and Marine Snails as Parasite Biodiversity Indicators in Iceland". I was lucky enough to travel all over the island in search of snails, trudging through streams, lakes, and the ocean. While there, I fell in love with culture, the landscape, and parasites. You can read about my experiences on my website: It is my hope to return to Iceland for more research in this fragile systems that is experiencing the negative effects of climate change. You can find more pictures of Iceland under the 'Photography' tab above.
